Operation and Maintenance of Power Plants

OFS has expertise in Operation & Maintenance on turnkey basis of Power Plants along with its Systems and sub-systems. We provide experienced Engineers and technicians to manage the power plants. Our qualified team takes care of all Operational & Maintenance requirement of the Power Plant.

The services rendered by us include :

> Take up complete operation of the Plant. > Total maintenance of the Plant. > Operational spares inventory. > Proper management of the Plant. > Recommendations for improvement in Operational parameters and procedures. > Preparation of O & M manuals and revisions of the same. > Perform scheduled and preventive maintenance to minimize equipment shutdown time, minimize equipment failures and reduce maintenance expenditures. > Monitor performance & efficiency of the plant, systems and sub-systems included in the scope of the work regularly and work out action plan to improve. > Carryout special maintenance as per manufacturer's recommendations and supervise overhauling of the major equipments. > Provide necessary technical, administrative support to our clients for procurement, transportation and storage of spares, stores, tools and consumables wherever necessary. > Follow HSE procedures.

OFS is currently executing the O & M Contract for the Combined Cycle Power Plant of ONGC at their Central Processing Facility at Gandhar. Following are the major Systems & Sub-systems installed which are covered under this contract :

> Gas Turbine GE Make - Model Frame - V, its Generator of 20 MW capacity and its associated systems and equipments. > Steam Turbine - Model NK 40/56/20-3 with Generator BHEL make 11 MW capacity and its associated systems and equipments. > HRSG 64 Tones / Hour and its associated systems and equipments. > Various Data Acquisition & Control systems installed in the plant. > Cooling water system with 4 Nos. water pumps Becon - Weir / 400 - 500. > DM Water plant 2 X 18 Cu. Mtr / Hr along with its sub-systems. > Air Compressors - 3 Nos. and its air dryers. > 3 Cell ID Cooling Tower Paharpur make along with its chemical dosing system. > FRP Cooling Tower and its pumps. > IAEC Make package type boiler, 24 Kg / Sq. Cm. @ 255 Deg C. and 6 TPh. > 66KV switch yard I/c transformers 20/25MVA-2Nos. and its control room. > 11 KV substation connecting GT/ST to load & GEB. > Other utilities installed within the battery limit of combined cycle Power Plant. > All pipelines and fittings including valves installed within the battery limit. > Chlorine Neutralization system. > EOT crane capacity - whip/main block - 5/20 tons. > Fire fighting system of GT. GTG, STG, Control room, Cable trench and UPS room. > All electrical drives & their controls, APU, MCC, Batteries, etc. > Gas conditioning skid. > Black Start DG set, 380 KVA Make Greaves (I) Ltd type TBD3V12 MK-1.

List of associated works :

> Take up work of Preparatory services ( including required men & material) for annual inspection of HRSG and IAEC make Package Boiler including obtaining operation certificate from Boiler Inspector and completion of boiler inspection as per the IBR and fulfillment of recommendations of the Inspector to comply with the regulations. This activity is done every year. > OFS provides skilled personnel to carry out HP –TIG welding and radiography and other NDT for repair & maintenance works and also minor modifications for improvement of plant performance, as and when required, to comply with IBR procedures and shall have to obtain certificate/clearance from the concerned authority. > OFS arranges for hydro testing and /or NDT as applicable of Static vessels (e.g. Air Receivers), Heat exchangers as per the requirement of statutory / regulatory agencies. > Take up Filtration of transformer oil approx. 30,000 liters once in a year, to bring BDV of the oil above 60 KV after filtration. > Take up Relay Testing through OEM authorized agency. > Take up Thermography of equipments. > Take up Mechanical conditioning monitoring of equipments twice in a year. > Carry out load testing of EOT crane through authorized agency to the satisfaction of statutory authority. > Arrange to attend job of ONLINE sealing of HRSG valves and flanges, as and when required. Job will be attended by the expert team. > To get small fabrication and repair jobs done, including supply of petty items of non capital nature, not available in ONGC store, and required the keep the plant running. > Co ordinate with the OEM of following fire fighting system half yearly and shall get the functioning of the system tested and obtain the certificate to that effect. However regular defects are attended by us :- CO2 based Fire Fighting system for GT and GTG CO2 based Fire Fighting system for STG > Arrange to get the functioning of Chlorine Neutralization system tested & certified through ONGC approved Chlorine Manufacturer or ONGC approved third party.
